The Wisconsin Badgers are kicking off Big Ten Conference football play today against the visiting Maryland Terrapins. Wisconsin is off to a 2-and-1 start to the 2025 season. They were blown out last week on the road against Alabama. Maryland enters the game a perfect 3-and-oh. Wisconsin has never lost to Maryland in football. Police responded Wednesday to a situation in which 24-year-old Devon Knapp reportedly had violated a no-contact order. When officers made contact with Knapp, reports say he bit two of them and later — at a local hospital — he injured two other officers and scratched a nurse. Charges against Knapp include battery to law enforcement and disorderly conduct.
