April was a good month for Wisconsin Powerball players. A winning $50,000 Powerball ticket was sold at Kwik Trip on 1580 E. Washington St. in West Bend for the Monday, April 29 drawing. It was the ninth winning ticket of $50,000 or more sold in Wisconsin during April. The winning ticket matched four of five numbers (11-38-47-67-69) plus the Powerball (14). The Powerball jackpot is growing fast. The estimated jackpot for the Wednesday drawing is up to $178 million.

Former teacher Todd Williams pleaded guilty yesterday to one count of possessing child pornography. Prosecutors agreed to drop six other counts. A judge in Fond du Lac County yesterday sentenced 39-year-old Adam Richardson to a decade-and-a-half behind bars. Richardson’s blood-alcohol-level was more than two and a half times the legal limit when he crashed into a tree in February of 2022. Richardson apologizes in court, but the judge said nothing about the crash was an accident.
