On August 6, 2024, at 3:44 pm, the St. Croix County Emergency Communication Center received a call reporting a motor vehicle crash with injuries located in the intersection on STH 65 at CTH J in the Town of Kinnickinnic. Lake Hallie Authorities Warn of Car Thefts

Someone in Lake Hallie is stealing cars. Police in the city say they’ve gotten calls about six stolen cars recently. Detective Tim Bowman says they’ve recovered four, but the other two are missing. Of the cars that police have recovered, money and other things inside the car were all cleaned-out. Bowman says they have some suspects in mind, but he says it’s best for everyone to lock their cars going forward.

Former WI Coach Facing Charges

There are a dozen new charges against the former Green Bay youth tennis coach accused of taking pictures up girls’ skirts. Prosecutors filed the new charges yesterday against Joshua Denault. Investigators say Denault was taking upskirt pictures for years while he was coaching tennis at local clubs. The new victims listed in the new charges are ages 11, 14, and 16-years-old. Murder Charges Filed in Case of Mitchell

There are now murder charges for the death of the man who was held down in front of Milwaukee’s downtown Hyatt back in June. Milwaukee County’s D.A. filed murder charges yesterday against the four private security guards who held D’Vontaye Mitchell down on the ground. The medical examiner said he died from ‘restraint asphyxia,’ but also died from the ‘toxic effect’ of meth and cocaine. Mitchell’s death was caught on video. Former Warden Pleads Not Guilty

The former warden at the prison in Waupun has pleaded not guilty to the charges stemming from an inmate’s death. Randall Hepp was in court in Dodge County yesterday to face a single felony charge of misconduct in office. Gov. Evers Reacts to Spending Amendments

Wisconsin’s governor is officially on the record against the constitutional amendments that would limit his unilateral spending power. Hulkamaniacs, and/or beer drinkers in Wisconsin, are getting the chance to grab a cold one from one of wrestling’s greatest icons. Hulk Hogan made stops in Waukesha, Pewaukee, and Hubertus yesterday to promote his Real American Beer. Fans turned out to see Hogan, and said they were at least willing to try his new beer. Harris-Walz Set to Visit EC

Vice President Kamala Harris and newly announced co-runner Minnesota Governor Tim Walz will be in Eau Claire tomorrow. The two are making the stop as part of their Battleground State Tour.  It’ll be Harris’s tenth stop in Wisconsin since she was sworn in as Vice President, and her sixth stop this year.  The time and location of the rally hasn’t been released yet.

US Attorney General Visits the Dairyland

Wisconsin got a visit today from U-S Attorney General Merrick Garland. He visited the U-S Attorney General’s Office for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, U-S Attorney Gregory J. Haanstad and law enforcement workers. Garland says an anti-violent crime strategy is deployed in Wisconsin to arrest felons and prevent violent drug trafficking. He also noted the national violent crime rate was one of the lowest in the past fifty years last year, including the largest drop in homicides.
