A Western Wisconsin man charged in an officer-involved shooting in Eau Claire is accepting a plea deal. Thomas Burback had previously pled not guilty to four charges — including intentionally pointing a gun at law enforcement. The Wisconsin State Patrol says that a pair of westbound vehicles crashed into each other on I-94 near Black River Falls. One of those vehicles went into a ditch and overturned. Its driver died at the scene. The other driver was also hurt but is expected to recover.
