Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer dropped by UW-Eau Claire yesterday to tally young voters. They talked about Kamala Harris and abortion. Eau Claire will play a role in deciding who wins Wisconsin next month. On that note, political attention continues. The Kamala Harris campaign is bringing the former president to Wisconsin. Former President Obama is set to campaign for Harris in Madison next week.

The final numbers show Wisconsin has four-point-six billion-dollars more than it spent. The state also has nearly two billion-dollars in its rainy day fund. Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers said the extra money should be reinvested in his next budget. Republican lawmakers, however, have said in the past that they want to give the money back to the people of Wisconsin.

Two-thirds of schools will get more money, while about a third will get less. In all, Wisconsin is sending just over five-and-a-half billion-dollars to local schools.
