16 more members of Wisconsin’s Task Force 1 are heading to Texas to aid in recovery efforts following deadly floods on July 4th. The crew is part of the swiftwater team and will be assisting in searching for missing people in Texas Hill Country. There are estimates that roughly 200 people are still missing. Flash flooding risk was upgraded this past weekend, prompting Kerr County to suspend their ground search operations on Sunday.

Eighteen-year-old suspect Orestes Kouris was later located near the Lake Hallie Golf Course and arrested. Charges against Kouris include attempted first-degree intentional homicide. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office reports the victim was operating a UTV on Thursday as part of chores at a South Lancaster Township farm when they fell from the vehicle and became pinned beneath it. The victim’s name and age have not been released.

The organization supports the preservation and restoration of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin estate. The funding will come out of the recently-approved state budget. Directors of the restoration organization say the award kickstarted plans to focus on which structures will be restored first, and how to open more of the estate to visitors.
