Cheese brine is being used to de-brie snow and ice off the roads in Monroe. Green County Highway Commissioner Chris Narveson says the liquid is made up of 23-percent salt and is better for the environment. He says, “it doesn’t actually melt the snow, its the brine that melts the snow.” The County has already used over 75-thousand gallons of the cheese brine.

Read More– Estimates for Wisconsin’s state budget surplus are moving higher. The Legislative Fiscal Bureau updated their financial figures this week. The surplus is now projected at four-point-three-billion after first being estimated at right around four-billion even.
