The Wisconsin Grocers Association is pushing back on claims of price gouging from VP Kamala Harris. The Grocers released an open letter last week saying inflation, not grocery stores, is to blame for the high prices that people are paying. Historical Sites Set to Receive Millions

Wisconsin is going to get a share of 25-million dollars from the National Parks Service to save some of the state’s historical places. The Park Service last week said Wisconsin will be getting grants to preserve the Baggage Horse Barn at the Ringling Brothers Circus Winter Headquarters in Baraboo, the National Soldiers Home Governor’s Mansion and Chapel in Milwaukee, and the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Wauwatosa. The Parks Service says all three are ‘nationally significant sites.

Trump Campaign Announces WI Stop

Former President Trump will be making his first visit to Wisconsin since last month’s Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. Trump’s campaign announced the former president will be heading to the western part of the state for a town hall Thursday evening. The town hall will be held in La Crosse, which is located right next to the Minnesota border. Trump’s campaign made the announcement on Saturday. Heat Advisory Issued

The National Weather Service is issuing heat alerts today and Monday for parts of Northwest and West Central Wisconsin.  A Heat Advisory is in effect today for Burnett County and an Excessive Heat Watch is in effect Monday for Burnett County, as well as Ashland, Bayfield, Douglas, Price, Sawyer, and Washburn Counties.  A Heat Advisory means the heat index could reach at least 100 degrees.  An Excessive Heat Watch means the heat index could reach at least 105 degrees, which

Federal Funding Headed to WI Roads and Bridges

Wisconsin is getting 177-million more dollars in federal funding for infrastructure projects. The money is coming from the Surface Transportation Program. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation announced 200-million dollars in STP funding for bridges and roadways earlier this month. The additional funding announced yesterday will contribute to 76 more projects in 16 urban areas. More than 150 projects total will benefit from the program.
