Back to it! A major company is resuming excavation work in Sun Prairie for the first time since a deadly natural gas explosion. City officials are confident safety measures will prevent any further explosions. LEGAL LIGHT SHINING ON SUN PRAIRIE EXPLOSION

We have an update from Sun Prairie as state records say the contractor that struck a gas line in the downtown causing a leak that led to an explosion that leveled a city block wasn’t registered to do business in Wisconsin. The Michigan-based VC Tech was hired by a Kansas-based company to help install new fiber optic cable lines in the Madison suburb. It’s not clear if the Michigan company had to be registered to work as a subcontractor.

CHASE LEADS TO MULTIPLE ARRESTS

There was some action with the blue and red lights on I-94 last night and it ended with multiple arrests. WEAU 13 News reports the incident began around 4:30 p.m. yesterday in Lake Hallie, which then led officers on a chase that ended on I-94 near Foster. According to the Lake Hallie Police Department, the incident started as a theft case when people left the scene. Multiple agencies are investigating.
