More than 14-hundred trees will be planted in Madison this spring. The City says the spring planting season will start today. Arborists with the city say the more than 30 different tree species chosen for planting were selected for their longevity. The planting process is expected to last through the end of the month. There will be a second round of planting this fall.

When officials first arrived, they saw flames shooting from the roof of the house and coming out from the back. Fire officials put out the fire quickly however the house suffered major damage.
