WI Teen Bound Over for Trial

The Wisconsin teen accused of killing his mother and stepfather is being bound over for trial.  Nikita Casap had his preliminary hearing today in Waukesha County.  He’s facing multiple charges including two counts of first-degree homicide.  Prosecutors say he killed Tatiana Casap, his mother, and Donald Mayer, his stepfather, in February.  Casap is then accused of stealing his parents’ car and driving through multiple states before he was arrested in Kansas.  The judge overseeing the hearing says he sees probable

Two Wisconsin lotto players won big this past weekend.  The Lottery says a Badger Five ticket worth 154-thousand dollars was sold at the SAI Mart on Atwood in Madison.  The ticket matched all five winning numbers during last Friday’s drawing.  On Saturday, a Powerball ticket worth 50-thousand-dollars won.  That ticket was sold at a Station Neosho BP in Neosho.

Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest for 5th Offense OWI Near  School Zone in Elk Mound

April 8, 2025 – 8:23 A.M. – A Dunn County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic  stop in the Village of Elk Mound near the intersection of Highway 12 and Juniper Street. Convicted Sex Offender Sentenced to Prison

A convicted sex offender is sentenced has been sentenced to prison after many cases have been settled. Ben Lashley has been a convicted sex offender since 2016 and on the sex offender registry.  In 2019 Lashley was charged with first-degree sexual assault of a child, and last year with five counts of possession of child pornography.  Yesterday, he was sentenced to 20 years in prison with another 10 years of extended supervision.

Stanley Man Gets More Jail Time After Hiring Hitman To Kill Prosecutor

WI National Guard Has New Leadership

The Wisconsin National Guard has new leadership. Governor Tony Evers says interim Adjutant General Brigadier General David May is retiring.  Brigadier General Matthew Strub is taking his place. He’s been serving in the military since 1986, starting as a helicopter mechanic and working his way up. He was deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, and responded to Hurricane Katrina and flooding at the Red River in North Dakota. Strub will take over his new position later this month.
