In Marathon County, first responders were dispatched Wednesday night to rescue three people who were in distress on the Eau Claire River. The group was on the water in inner tubes when they realized they could not get themselves back to safety and called 9-1-1. Fire officials remind people that it is dangerous — especially at night — on the river system and the Eau Claire River.

Officers executing a search warrant at a home last week say they found drugs including THC products and LSD at the scene along with drug paraphernalia. Eighteen-year-old Dillon Linn, 18-year-old Vincent Archuleta and 25-year-old Antonio Cantu reportedly told police that they knew drugs were being sold out of the residence. All three men were taken into custody and charged.
