Marshfield police are on the look out for a man they believe is connected to a shooting that took place over the weekend.  Police were called to a possible shooting in the 600 block of South Cherry Avenue early Saturday morning and found someone shot in the stomach.  Police believe 37-year-old William Crowley committed the shooting, but he fled before police could arrive. The victim suffered non-life threatening injures and was released from the hospital but Crowley hasn’t been located. 

A Boyceville man facing 20 felony counts in Dunn County is having his plea hearing postponed so he can have a psycho-sexual evaluation.  Thirty-six-year-old Mitchell Miner is accused of sexually assaulting two girls under the age of ten nearly a decade ago.  Miner was arrested in December of last year after multiple girls told police that he had forced them to commit sexual acts when they were under that age.  Miner’shearing has been moved to January 31st. 

One person is injured and had to be extracted from their truck after a rollover crash in Hillsboro.  The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office says 59-year-old Gary Dank was taking a turn too fast on Young Road when his truck overturned and landed on its roof.  Dank was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  The cause of the crash is currently under investigation. 

One person is dead after a crash involving a log-tractor trailer in Chippewa County.  The county sheriff’s office says 77-year-old William Shelton was driving his car through the intersection of highways 64 and 40 Friday morning when the truck hit him.  Shelton was pronounced dead at the scene while the truck driver was uninjured.  Police say Shelton did not yield to the right of way of the truck when he was hit. 

Barron native Chris Kroeze will have one more opportunity to impress voters on tonight’s episode of NBC’s The Voice.  The two-day finale of the show begins at 7:00 when the final four contestants perform for votes one last time to try to be crowned The Voice.  Voting will start at the beginning of tonight’s episode and end at 6:00 tomorrow morning. 

Police are investigating after thousands of dollars in quarters were stolen from Chippewa Falls apartment complexes.  Property managers at three apartment complexes reported last week that washer-dryer units on site were broken into.  Suspects escaped with between three thousand and five thousand dollars worth of quarters.  Authorities say the suspects drilled out the locks on the coin boxes of selected machines with specific locks and stole the coins, showing knowledge of the machines.  

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker is signing into law a sweeping set of bills that will strip Democrats who won the election last month of power.  The bill signed into law Friday weakens the authority of the incoming Democratic governor and attorney general and will restrict early voting.  Walker lost his bid for reelection to Tony Evers.  Critics have called the lame-duck move a power grab by Republicans in the legislature and said they never would have passed the bills if Walker

Many Wisconsin nonprofits, including churches and schools, are getting nearly 450-thousand dollars in solar-power grants.  The projects are aimed at promoting clean energy and reducing electric costs.  More than four-and-a-half million dollars in new solar investment is expected as a result of the 36 grants from RENEW Wisconsin.  

Visit Eau Claire is helping people learn about the lawn game kubb.  Dozens of people spent yesterday painting a king kubb at the Visit Eau Claire experience center. The king kubb is a larger wooden block placed in the middle of the pitch, where players throw wooden batons to try to knock down the blocks.  Eau Claire hosts the U.S. National Championship kubb tournament with nearly 130 teams participating each summer.    

Lessons and carols are ringing in the holiday season at Grace Lutheran Church.  The church celebrated the 100th anniversary of the lessons and carols tradition in England yesterday afternoon.  The congregation joined the choir in singing favorite Christmas hymns, and the service also included scripture readings and bell choir pieces celebrating the birth of Christ.  Songs were featured from many countries, including England, Sweden, Peru, China, and Nigeria.
