HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital is feeding some of its patients over the holiday. The hospital held a special Christmas dinner Thursday including food and decorations. Several patients and their families were treated to the staff-funded meal as a thank you. Most of the patients had been in the hospital for weeks.

An employee who was preparing to open the store reported a glass door being broken and suspects entering. The employee was able to shelter in a different room and lock the door. Police say they believe Donald Ames was northbound on County Road G early Wednesday morning when he left the road and hit a power pole. Both Ames and passenger Tyler Pientok were ejected from the truck and Pientok was pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe alcohol and speed played a factor in the crash.
