One person is in custody and one is missing after a high speed chase in Tomah.  Police are saying that all started when the suspects made an abrupt turn onto a side street and sped up near Hollister Avenue.  Speeds reached around 100 miles per hour before the suspect vehicle crashed.  The two took off and ran through a field, where one was later caught.  Authorities are still searching for the other suspect. 

We are powering up to give back locally! Xcel Energy employees gathered over the weekend for the Day of Caring.  Hundreds of volunteers packed more than five pallets of food that will go out to the community through Feed My People Food Bank.  They also labeled and boxed almost six thousand blocks of cheese to be distributed to families in Eau Claire.

T  Flooding is continuing to close roads and interrupt life in our state. A motorcycle accident on Saturday afternoon leaves one man dead. It happened just before 1:30. The Dunn County 911 Center received a report of two motorcycles involved in a crash on State Rd 64 at Cty Rd Q in New Haven. The Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office in Minnesota says it has been notified by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension that human remains found in July and August are being identified as a missing Wisconsin man.   A DNA match resulted in the remains, two legs and a torso, being identified as having belonged to David John Sheridan of Pepin, who was reported missing after his sailboat was found unmanned at a camp directly across from his hometown in April.  Authorities say

An accident in Tilden leaves two dead. The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department responded to a car vs cement truck accident at around 4:45 on Friday. A car was south bound on CTH F , south of CTH S. The price for regular gas is down a penny from a week ago.  Triple A says the average price statewide is two-dollars-and-80, while the national average is two-83.  The lowest average prices in the state are found in the Janesville-Beloit area at two-68 a gallon.  Drivers in Eau Claire are again paying the most at two-93 for a gallon of regular gas
