Shoppers have a new option in Menomonie! Hope Gospel Mission has a new Thrift Store in Menomonie located at 1230 North Broadway. A Grand Opening Celebration is scheduled for Monday. The Menomonie Chamber of Commerce will be conducting the official ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:00am. Everyone is welcome there are several opportunities for volunteers to help regularly which makes up about 40% of the workforce. Profits from this new store will be used to help support Hope Gospel Mission’s New Hope Renewal

The passenger took off on foot and K9 Jake and his handler Officer O’Connell were able to track down Paige Young. Young was arrested on several charges. The case is still being investigated.

Authorities say the abuse began when the children were seven and nine. The victims are now adults and came forward to investigators last month. Richard and Linda are set to appear in court next week.
Read MoreA Buffalo County man is facing an attempted murder charge. 36-year-old Kenneth Teel was charged yesterday with attempted first degree intentional homicide in connection with the stabbing of a 65-year-old man in his home. That happened September 6th, when the victim told investigators that Teel knocked on the door and immediately started stabbing him. Teel told investigators he also slashed the victim’s vehicle tires and ran over a mailbox.

Three assaults were reported over the weekend within a one-block radius in the area of West Lincoln Avenue and Street. In all three cases, the victims were punched, including a woman who was knocked unconscious. UW-Oshkosh police are advising students to make sure they are visible to other people when walking and be aware of the surroundings.
