Baraboo Acts is calling for personal growth. Dozens filled the seats of Al Ringling Theater to hear a message last night that included a list of action steps the city and school district is taking to address a controversial photo showing a group of high school boys making what appeared to be a Nazi salute. Some of the steps include enhanced Holocaust education, further community discussions, and today’s Thunderbird Day of Peace assembly.

Authorities say Macnelli Martinez was driving on County Highway G in Marshfield over the weekend when her car left the roadway. She apparently over-corrected and then crashed into a pickup truck. The driver of the pickup suffered non-life-threatening injuries, while Martinez died at the scene.

Read MoreMarshfield police are on the look out for a man they believe is connected to a shooting that took place over the weekend. Police were called to a possible shooting in the 600 block of South Cherry Avenue early Saturday morning and found someone shot in the stomach. Police believe 37-year-old William Crowley committed the shooting, but he fled before police could arrive. The victim suffered non-life threatening injures and was released from the hospital but Crowley hasn’t been located.

Thirty-six-year-old Mitchell Miner is accused of sexually assaulting two girls under the age of ten nearly a decade ago. Miner was arrested in December of last year after multiple girls told police that he had forced them to commit sexual acts when they were under that age. Miner’shearing has been moved to January 31st.

The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office says 59-year-old Gary Dank was taking a turn too fast on Young Road when his truck overturned and landed on its roof. Dank was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.

The county sheriff’s office says 77-year-old William Shelton was driving his car through the intersection of highways 64 and 40 Friday morning when the truck hit him. Shelton was pronounced dead at the scene while the truck driver was uninjured. Police say Shelton did not yield to the right of way of the truck when he was hit.
