Workers across the U.S. are upset by a planned closure of Harley-Davidson’s Kansas City plant, despite benefiting from a tax cut. The Milwaukee-based motorcycle manufacturer announced cuts of 350 jobs across the company. Sales have been dropping as fewer younger riders are stepping up to invest in the bikes. The company announced a half-cent dividend increase and a buyback of up to 15 million shares in February, but says those things are not related to the tax cut benefits.

Read MoreIt is closed to vehicle traffic and from the wheels to the water, the channel under Paint Creek Bridge is also closed to boat traffic after it partially collapsed. Signs went up recently noting the closing. The Lafayette Town Board approved sharing the cost of demolishing the bridge with Chippewa County. Officials hope the old bridge is removed by Fourth of July weekend, with the new bridge going up by next July.
