This week’s winter storm is over in northwest Wisconsin but it caused a number of crashes. The Eau Claire Police Department says it responded to 16 crashes as of yesterday afternoon. About five inches of snow fell in Eau Claire and parts to the west got up to eight inches. A wind chill advisory is in effect until noon today but temperatures are expected to plummet into the negative double-digits overnight.

Twenty-one-year-old Kentrell Pouewells was arrest back in December after Eau Claire gas station workers called police on him. Police say they found cocaine, heroin, and marijuana in his possession. Pouewells must also serve two years of extended supervision after his prison sentence.
