An Elk Mound man is going to prison after being convicted in a child pornography case. Police say child porn was found on Jeremy Deen’s phone and computer late last year and he pleaded no contest to possessing child porn in January. On Friday Deen was sentenced to three years in prison followed by ten years of supervised release.

Read MoreThere’s no word on what sparked a barn fire in Vernon County that killed 70 cows. The fire started Friday evening at a farm not far from the town of Westby. Firefighters say 20 cows died in the barn, another 50 died from the smoke or other effects of the fire. No people were hurt. Firefighters say the barn was a total loss and had to be torn down for safety reasons.
