Culver’s is supporting families and educators with Madison’s Abundant Life Christian School as they work to heal from the recent mass shooting. Dozens of the chain’s restaurants participated in a fundraiser for the ALCS staffers and families earlier this month. The company announced the Western Wisconsin brewery would be closing last November, and production will be moved to Milwaukee. The DHS study shows menthol cigarettes are disproportionately advertised to communities of color, contributing to smoking rates that are nearly twice as high among African American Wisconsinites. The department is launching a digital education and outreach campaign to prevent the use of menthol cigarettes in affected communities.
