WI NATIONAL GUARD TO DEPLOY

Soldiers from the Wisconsin National Guard are receiving new deployment orders.  The Guard announced today that nearly 400 soldiers from the Red Arrow 127th Infantry Battalion will deploy to Afghanistan this winter to support the NATO led mission.  The battalion will deploy as a security element for coalition forces.

CALLER ID SAYS: SCAM

After a competitive application process, Cadott Jr./Sr. High School and Eau Claire Memorial High School have been selected to receive mindfulness training. 30 staff at each school will receive training through the Mental Health Matters grant. 12 YEAR OLD KILLS TEENAGE BROTHER

A 12-year-old boy is suspected in the deadly stabbing of his 16-year-old brother.  Minnetonka police say officers responded to a report of a stabbing Saturday night at an apartment complex on Fairfield Road.  The 16-year-old was found with a life-threatening stab wound to the chest.  He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

MAN KILLED IN FARMING ACCIDENT

A man is dead following a farm accident in Dunn County.  The accident happened Friday morning in the 96-hundred block of County Road E in the Town of Spring Brook.  Officials say 20-year-old Seth Splitter was changing a tire on a wagon used to haul silage when it depressurized and launched the tire and rim into him.

4 INJURED IN CRASH

Four people are reported injured after a crash in Eau Claire.  The collision happened on Clairemont and Rudolph last night.  All four of the injured were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  Officials are still investigating how the crash happened.

Authorities are searching for a suspect after a home invasion in La Crosse County.  An unknown male entered the victim’s home in the Town of Greenfield yesterday afternoon wearing a mask.  The suspect stole a red 2011 Subaru Outback.  Officials are continuing to investigate. GAS PRICES

The price for regular gas in Wisconsin is two-cents-higher-a-gallon than a week ago.  Triple-A says the average price statewide is two-dollars-and-82 cents, while the national average is two-85.  The lowest prices are posted in the Janesville-Beloit area. Drivers in Eau Claire are paying the most at two-91.
