Senate candidates Sen. Tammy Baldwin and State Senator Leah Vukmir debated Saturday night in Wausau at a one-hour televised event. The candidates debated numerous issues including health care, marijuana legalization, immigration, tariffs, and the U.S. Supreme Court. The train will be at the Milwaukee Amtrak station on December 6th, it will the make a run to Columbus on December 7th, and then make a run to LaCrosse on December 8th. The train will be decorated for holidays, and will have live entertainment for the crowds at each stop.

Police say 26-year-old Tommie Robertson was seen on surveillance video with two other people punching and kicking a man at an Eau Claire gas station. Robertson has denied that he assaulted the man but is facing two felony counts and a misdemeanor. He could get up to eight years in prison.
Read MoreA woman is facing two felony counts of obstruction in Chippewa Falls for allegedly causing trouble with firefighters. Fire fighters say they were recently dealing with a gas leak at a building near Murray and Jackson Streets when 39-year-old Sara Gordon barged in and began shouting at them. The fire chief warned Gordon that if she didn’t let them do their job that she would be arrested, but she persisted. She’s expected to appear in court on December 26th.

The forest has now expanded to about 125 acres and welcomes activities such as hiking and snowshoeing. Governor Scott Walker ordered the team of 12 guardsman to head to Florida Friday, heading into the weekend. They’ll use a pair of Blackhawk helicopters to help rescue stranded people and get resources into areas battered by Hurricane Michael.

Lieutenant Andrew Dorn is with the Eau Claire Fire Department and Honor Guard, and he says yesterday’s annual ceremony started in 1991. Each firefighter’s name was read aloud and a bell was rung. The ceremony remembered firefighters who gave their lives in 2017 in the line of duty.
