An Elk Mound man is being charged with multiple counts of child sexual assault.  A criminal complaint states 21-year-old Dylan Reidel is accused of consensually and nonconsensually sexually assaulting a 15-year-old a little over a year ago.  He is also accused of having sex with a 14-year-old near Colfax but says he ended their relationship when he found out her age.  Reidel is due for a preliminary hearing on October 30th. 

An Eau Claire man is going back to prison after violating his probation.  Twenty-eight-year-old Alexander Brunner was ordered to spend nearly 450 days in prison after the violation that stems from two 2017 felony Convictions.  Brunner is also being fined over one-thousand dollars and will spend nearly two years on extended supervision after he gets out of prison. 

A Wausau man is in custody after police seized meth and cash from his home.  Police today say they executed a search warrant last week at a home in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue where they confiscated nearly a pound of methamphetamine and more than 15-thousand-dollars.  Ngia Vang is being held on 100-thousand-dollars cash bond in the Marathon County Jail.  Officers discovered drugs in the walls of the home and money in a backpack and elsewhere in the house.

The Chapel at Camp Vista in Osceola is destroyed by fire.  Firefighters were called to the scene in Fond du Lac County shortly after 5:00 this morning where they found the chapel engulfed in flames.  Fire departments from nine communities responded.  The cause is under investigation. 

The Eau Claire Redevelopment Authority is considering multiple proposals to build projects at two downtown locations.  The plans include adding apartments, restaurants, and commercial space near the Block Seven parking lot and east of the North Bristow Parking Ramp.  The city development director says he’s happy that there’s so much interest in downtown Eau Claire.  The RDA is continuing to discuss the proposals and if they choose one it will need to be approved by the city council. 

A former Eau Claire fire station will house a video production studio in its new life.  The city says it’s selling the old Fire Station Ten to Valley Media Works.  The company plans to add radio stations and video studios and set up areas to educate people on camera operation, directing, producing, and video editing.

One lucky Wisconsin Mega Millions player is holding a $1 million ticket from the Tuesday, October 23 Mega Millions drawing, while a ticket sold in South Carolina won the $1.537 billion jackpot. The history-making Mega Millions jackpot crushed the former Mega Millions record of $656 million set in March 2012.   The $1 million winning Mega Millions ticket from Wisconsin was purchased at Kwik Trip at 525 Springdale Street in Mount Horeb (Dane County).

 On Tuesday, U.S. Rep. Ron Kind announced a $78,790 grant from the Department of Homeland Security’s Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program for the Stevens Point Fire Department.The grant funds will be used to purchase extrication equipment, which can be used in vehicular accidents. The Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) are administered through the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in cooperation with the U.S. Fire Administration. The grants enhance the safety of Wisconsin communities by providing financial assistance to eligible fire departments,

The volunteers showed up yesterday to search for clues surrounding the disappearance of 13-year-old Jayme Closs.  We’ve been following this case for over a week now, Closs disappeared from her Barron County home after her parents were killed. Yesterday,  volunteers were split into small groups with a police officers and headed into wooded areas to look for anything else that could be related to her disappearance.  Meanwhile, funeral plans are set for her parents, James and Denise Closs.  The couple was

Yesterday, we felt the BERN as Bernie Sanders was in Milwaukee to campaing for the the Democratic side of the ticked and today, we flip it to President Trump. He is returning to what’s been called Trump Country to campaign for Republican candidates and is due to land in Mosinee this evening for a rally that will include Governor Walker and Republican Senate challenger Leah Vukmir.  The central and northern portions of Wisconsin are areas where the President has strong support.
