The top brass in the University of Wisconsin system are in-line for some hefty pay raises. University regents last week approved pay raises of up to 27 percent for top administrators. Regents also approved a six percent pay bump for all other UW workers over the next two years. No one is saying what all of the pay increases will cost the school.

Two New York investment firms, Monarch Alternative Capital and Raider Hill Advisors, last week paid 67 million-dollars to buy more than 75 ShopKo stores across the county.
