An Eau Claire woman is accused of hitting cars in a parking lot because of a dispute over a dog. A criminal complaint claims 20-year-old Kalika Mayer recently met with a 17-year-old girl and her dog in a pet store parking lot because Mayer said she missed her and the dog. The teenager’s brother says he saw the two start to argue which led to Mayer ramming her car into three other cars before trying to take the teen’s dog.

Eau Claire Transit says buses used to stop at the store on East Clairemont Avenue but they won’t anymore because of its deteriorated parking lot. Instead, buses will now use nearby Ridge Road just to the north. The K-mart that used be on the East Clairemont parking lot has been closed since 2015.
