On Sunday, October 20th, 2024, at approximately 1:52pm, the Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office and area fire departments were dispatched to a one vehicle crash with power lines down and a grass fire starting in the 10000 block of Olson Dr (County Highway Q), in the Township of Seymour. Chase Leads to Arrest for Black River Falls Man

On Saturday, October 19, 2024 at about 5:50 PM, the Fairchild Police Department attempted a traffic stop on a person later identified as Kegan C Fogleson of Black River Falls. Fogleson immediately fled and a pursuit occurred in the Townships of Cleveland and Fairchild and the Village of Fairchild. During the pursuit, it was learned that Fogleson had a felony warrant for his arrest and he had caution indicators for violent tendencies. Fogleson drove at 70 mph in a residential

Meat Recall Expands

The nationwide meat and poultry recall is expanding.  The USDA is warning schools might have received the impacted products.  The BrucePac recall has now expanded to nearly 12-million pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products over listeria concerns.  The list of recalled items is over 300-pages long and includes products sold at Wegmans, Trader Joe’s, Target, Walmart and many other retailers. CLICK HERE FOR MORE.

Cause of Rural Eau Claire Fire Under Investigation

No one is saying what started the fire in rural Eau Claire County that burned a couple of cabins and nearly 22 acres of land over the weekend. The fire started about 1 a.m. yesterday on some land near the Township of Clear Creek. By the time the fire was out, it burned three cabins, two out buildings, a large propane tank, and 22 acres. Road Closed After Crash, Fire

Olson Drive is open after firefighters closed it yesterday because of a crash and a fire. The crash knocked down a light pole, and the fire then burned in the woods. Rice Lake Brewery Has Big Plans
