An 18-year-old was arrested for OWI with a baby in her car. Kihley Hope Schreurs from Eau Claire has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense. A speeding violation in Dunn County lead to the arrest of a Minnesota man. 28-year-old Michael Darrel Adams-Virnig from St. Paul, Minnesota has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense, with one child in the vehicle under the age of 16. GAS SLIPS A BIT

The average cost for a gallon of regular gas in Wisconsin is down two-cents-a-gallon compared to a week ago.  Triple-A says the average price statewide is two-dollars-and-49-cents today, while nationwide it’s two-57.  The highest prices are posted in the northern counties of Oneida, Price, Iron, Ashland and Vilas at nearly two-70-a-gallon.  The southern counties of Rock, Racine and Kenosha have the lowest average prices, around two-40 for regular.

CHIPPEWA RIVER LEVEL UPDATES

Recent heavy rain in the upper Chippewa River watershed is causing increased levels on the Chippewa Riverin Eau Claire. At 6 a.m. the Chippewa River gauge at Grand Avenue read 762.8 feet, which is about 10 feet below the flood stage reading of 773 feet.  The current crest projection is 765 feet on Sunday, at this level the river will have entered our Action stage resulting in the closure of the lowest lying areas of the Chippewa River Trail.  For the safety of
