If you’ve moved since the last election or are new to the state, time is running out to get a new ID. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation yesterday said people who need a new state-issued ID in order to vote should get one as soon as possible. Voters will head to the polls April 2nd.

Emergency crews passed out 150-thousand sandbags across the state since flooding began last week. Governor Evers issued a state of emergency Friday in Madison, as well as at least 18 municipalities. Police say he beat his roommate last August over late rent. Officers who responded found a dog that appeared extremely underweight and covered in feces. Hadt pleaded no contest to the charges of disorderly conduct and mistreatment of animals in exchange for the dismissal of the battery charge.

The board heard the plan yesterday, which could include setting aside capital funds or possibly issuing some debt to cover the funds. The board will vote on the plan at its April 1st meeting.

The Eau Claire Area School District approved the Spanish Dual Immersion Program yesterday. The program will teach students in both languages in a traditional classroom setting.
