ECPD Launches New App

There’s a new app from Eau Claire’s police department. The new app allows people to report a crime, as well as get alerts about traffic jams, crime alerts, and the latest news from the city’s police department. The idea, the PD says, is to keep people in the loop, and give them an easier way to interact with the police. You can find the new app in your phone’s app store. WI Congressman Pushes Pure Poultry For Answers

Western Wisconsin’s congressman is the latest to ask for answers about Pure Prairie Poultry’s closing. Republican Congressman Derrick Van Orden yesterday sent a letter to the USDA, asking for more information. Van Orden joined congressmen from Minnesota and Iowa in asking about oversight, regulation, and a lack of transparency from the USDA. Forget the Sticker! I Voted Bobblehead Released

On The Road to Transportation Improvements

Wisconsin is getting 138-million dollars to improve local roadways. Local governments will get most of the money, while just more than four-million dollars will go toward connecting highways, and more than 250-thousand will go to Milwaukee County for additional policing on expressways. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says the money comes from quarterly General Transportation Aids included in the 2023-2025 budget.

Invasive Fish Species Found in DairyLand Rivers

An invasive fish species is found in Wisconsin. The state Department of Natural Resources says the invasive silver carp was found in the Chippewa River in Eau Claire. The department says jumping fish suspected to be the carp were also reported at the Dells Dam on the lower Chippewa River. More deer will be on Wisconsin roadways as the fall season settles in and they’re still not using the crossings. *rimshot!
