Chippewa Valley residents have the opportunity to decide what will represent the area in a new state historical museum. Reports say the Wisconsin Historical Society was in Eau Claire yesterday talking to residents about what parts of the area deserve to be included in the museum. The society will be making multiple other trips around the state to get ideas. They hope to have the museum open by 2024.

Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald said the fee increase is an alternative to Governor Evers’ plan to raise the gas tax in Wisconsin by eight-cents per-gallon. License plates cost 75 dollars in Wisconsin, the proposed fee would take that cost up to 85 dollars each year.
