If you’ve ever walked through the Pabst Mansion and wanted to take something home, here’s your chance. The mansion’s managers yesterday announced an estate sale planned for June 8th. Just some of the mansion’s furnishing and decorations will be up for sale. All of the money raised will go toward maintaining the mansion and preserving its history.

The sheriff’s office says Robert LaVake ran from deputies on Interstate-90 last Thursday, going over 100 miles-per-hour. Tomah police eventually used spike strips to stop the car. The car crashed and caught fire and LaVake was pulled from the car and arrested. The car was reported stolen from Colorado.

Police say officers responded to a home on the east side of town Saturday night where a 46-year-old man said he’d been threatened with a knife. The man claimed the suspect whistled at his girlfriend, leading to a fight where the suspect pulled the knife and tried to run the victim over with a car. The suspect hasn’t been seen since.
