One person is hurt following a one-car crash in Vernon County. The county sheriff’s office says a 23-year-old man was westbound on County Road SS in Viroqua Sunday morning when he crossed the road, hit a fence, went through a field, and crashed. Deputies say the driver’s injuries are serious. They also say he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.

The community relations director for Hope Gospel Mission says police found extensive damage to the facility’s fence and equipment early last Friday morning. The director estimates there’s about three to four-thousand dollars worth of damage. There are no suspects in the case.
