Eau Claire’s health director says Governor Evers’ order to stay at home is necessary. Investigators yesterday said they are no closer to finding their suspects. Police did identify the victim of the shooting. They say 29-year-old Edwin Garcia-Smith died of a gunshot wound. The Eau Claire Fire Department says crews worked on Saturday to remove the vehicle, but high-water levels created challenges that led to the suspension. The department says crews will continue working to remove the car when conditions are better. Public Information Officer Bridget Coit says the car found early Friday morning was believed to have a driver, and police are working to locate that individual.
