In-person classes at UW Madison lasted one week. Chancellor Rebecca Blank yesterday said the school is moving all classes online, starting next week. Police say 30-year-old Jennifer Lanners told them someone she met online encouraged her to deposit the fake checks. She told police she knew it was a scam. According to a criminal complaint, the woman is facing charges for fraud, bail jumping, and resisting an officer.
