The Eau Claire Police Department is warning against a gift card scam. Police say they’ve taken several reports of the scam that claims the caller is law enforcement and tells the victim to provide their social security number or other personal information in exchange for a gift card. Police say this is a scam, and a police officer would not ask for any personal information. If you get a call like this, they recommend hanging up.

They will be there for two weeks.
