WI Sees Dip in COVID-19 Death Rate

The percentage of people dying or ending up in the hospital with the coronavirus is falling. The state’s Department of Health Services reported another four-thousand-plus positives yesterday. There were over seven thousand positives on Saturday. But the spike in positives is driving down the death rate and hospitalization rate. Barron Man Picks up 6th OWI

A man picked up a 6th OWI over the weekend. It was on Sunday, November 8th, approximately 5:45 pm., when a vehicle traveling south on 18th Street west of Rice Lake, left the roadway and struck tree. Badgers Return to the Playbook After More COVID-19 Cases

The University of Wisconsin Badgers make adjustments after more COVID-19 positive test results.  UW-Madison’s athletic department announced yesterday a Badgers student athlete and a team staff member tested positive within the past four days.  The statement says there are currently 14-active cases among students and staff, five of which have been confirmed in the past seven days.   As a result,  team practices are for now described as “limited on field conditioning” including mask wearing and social distancing.
