The store said on Facebook that someone bought a million-dollar winning Mega Millions ticket in Lake Hallie last Friday. No one has stepped forward to claim the prize yet. The next Mega Millions jackpot is almost a billion-dollars. That drawing is tomorrow night.

The D.A. in Barron County says a mom there offered her young daughter to an accused sex offender in exchange for drugs and cash. Prosecutors filed child trafficking charges against 34-year-old Amanda Eyman from Cameron. Investigators say she offered her daughter, who is younger than 10, to 34-year-old Paul Osterman back in 2019. Osterman is facing charges in two other Wisconsin counties for attempting to rape underage girls. He has not been charged in Barron County yet.

Wisconsin’s coronavirus count is at its lowest point since October. The state’s Department of Health Services yesterday reported just 15-hundred new positives, and a seven-day positive-average of just above seven-percent. Some people over 65 in Chippewa County will get the coronavirus vaccine next week. The county’s health department announced a new vaccine clinic that will open Monday. Public health director Angie Weideman isn’t saying how many vaccine doses the clinic will have, but she says Chippewa County has been vaccinating about a thousand people per-week. Nearly one-in-three people in Wisconsin could become eligible for the coronavirus vaccine under the state’s next phase.  Wisconsin’s vaccine subcommittee yesterday agreed on an expansive list of people who could get the shot under Phase 1b. Teachers, prisoners, grocery store workers, anyone over 65, mink farmers, bus drivers, and more are all on the list. In all, Phase 1b could include one-point-six-million people in the state. Wisconsin’s congressional delegation is welcoming Joe Biden as the nation’s new president. Democrats Gwen Moore, Mark Pocan, and Ron Kind yesterday all celebrated Biden’s inauguration. The state’s Republicans said the inauguration shows that even after a contentious election, the nation can still have a peaceful transition of power. There’s some agreement on a police reform package at the Wisconsin Capitol. Republicans Van Wanggaard and Anita Darling yesterday joined with Democrat Lena Taylor to unveil a package of proposed laws to have police departments be more transparent about their use of force. The proposals also include an overhaul of the police and fire commissions in both Milwaukee and Madison. There’s no word on just how much support the plans have with other lawmakers at the statehouse.

President Biden is not saying much about the letter former President Trump left him.  Trump left the White House earlier this morning and departed for his Mar-a-Lago resort in West Palm Beach, Florida.  He delivered remarks on the tarmac at Joint Base Andrews, where he wished the Biden-Harris administration well and bid farewell to Washington.
