It was on Wednesday March, 17th at about 6:30 a.m., Deputies with the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home in the Town of Seigl for a reported home invasion. Upon arrival, deputies located two males in the immediate area matching the description of the intruders. Theindividuals were detained and provided information that they were responsible for the home invasion.Deputies recovered a loaded handgun, masks, and clothing.
Read MoreIrvine Park in Chippewa Falls is getting some new restrooms and a new pavilion. That part of the project is estimated to cost the city about 700-thousand-dollars. The City Council voted Tuesday to approve the plans for improvements at the park which also include a new playground, new stairs to the Zoo, a new parking lot and new trail connections. The City hopes to finish constructing the four-season pavilion by September. Construction on the other projects hasn’t been decided.
