The latest coronavirus snapshot in Wisconsin shows more good news. The state’s Department of Health Services yesterday reported just 324 new positives and a seven-day positivity rate of under two-and-a-half-percent. DHS says 275 people are in the hospital with the virus, of them just 71 are in the ICU. Wisconsin had more than a thousand people in the hospital with the virus at the worst of November’s peak. Attorneys for Tyler Holte say his 2015 officer-involved shooting left him seriously injured and with hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills. Eau Claire Police say officers shot Holte after he stole a car, led them on a high speed chase, hid from them, and refused to surrender. Prosecutors cleared the officers in the shooting. Holte’s lawyer says that doesn’t matter in the lawsuit.

The Wisconsin Elections Commission yesterday voted to contact some of the 230-thousand voters who have not voted in years, but remain registered in the state.
