Downtown Eau Claire and the city Parks and Recreation department are looking for volunteers for the annual city cleanup. The Amazing Eau Claire Cleanup is being held Saturday April, 24th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. They say volunteers will clean up garbage, get a free t-shirt, and get the city ready for the summer.

The family says the search for Steinacker is now a recovery effort. Eau Claire police and firefighters spent the weekend looking for Steinacker, even searching the river. But they have not yet found him.
Read MoreWisconsin’s bars and restaurants may soon be able to sell cocktails to go. The Wisconsin Senate yesterday approved a plan to allow for to-go wine and alcohol sales. The plan already passed the state Assembly. The idea is to help bars and restaurants make-up for some of the business that they’ve lost during the coronavirus. The proposal only allows for cocktails in original containers, so no to-go cups. The plan now goes to the governor.

The state’s Department of Natural Resources yesterday reported 100 wildfires across the state over the past five days. All of the fires are west and north of the Milwaukee-Madison-Green Bay triangle. DNR says many of them were in the Northwoods. DNR says dry brush and high winds made the fires and the state’s fire danger worse.

Deputy city engineer Leah Ness says the first rule would be a limit of just 300 scooters. She says Eau Claire doesn’t want a flood of scooters dumped on the town. There’s no deadline for when the city council could vote on new scooter rules.

The little home is a throwback to the Chalet that used to sit at County Stadium. The new home has a slide, just like in years past. Fans will get their first look when the Brewers open their season on April 1st.
