On Wednesday, April 21, just before 5pm, a Barron County Deputy observed a van passing a car on Hwy 25, just north of Barron, in a no passing zone. As the deputy went to stop the vehicle it sped up and failed to stop for the deputy. Achase ensued for about 11 miles when the driver came to a stop on 13 1⁄2 Street and 20 1⁄2 Avenue.
