Brewers Back to 500

After the Brewers started the season 0-4 and panic struck throughout the Milwaukee fan base, the Brewers went 5-1 and after 10 games are now 5-5. Great pitching and timely hitting propelled the team. The Crew took three of four games over division rival Cincinnati to get back to 500. The Brewers have off today as they start a six-game road trip tomorrow. Three games in Colorado and three games in Arizona.

One Recovered, Search Continues in WI River

The two Chicago men whose boat capsized on the Wisconsin River Thursday have been identified.  Wisconsin Dells Police say they’ve recovered the body of Luis Di Filippo Friday and are still looking for his son Francesco Di Filippo.  Search crews will continue to use boats and aerial drones on Saturday.

Johnsonville Brat Recall

There was a food safety recall by Johnsonville Saturday. A representative said its cheddar bratwursts were possibly contaminated with hard plastic or other materials. Accused Kidnapper Faces Multiple Charges

The man accused of abducting a Beaver Dam teen who’s pregnant with his child is pleading not guilty to two misdemeanors in Nebraska. Deputies near Omaha say they followed a tip and found 40-year-old Gary Day with the 17-year-old girl at a gas station on Wednesday. He was taken into custody. An AMBER Alert had been active for the teen for about two months in several states. Day pleaded guilty to two Nebraska misdemeanors and his bond will be decided

Woman Attacks Attorney in Court

A woman attacked her attorney during her preliminary hearing in Fond du Lac on Friday.  Taylor Schabusiness’ hearing was over her alleged attack on a sergeant at Taycheedah Correctional Institution.  She is serving life in prison for dismembering a man in 2022.  Schabusiness’s attorney filed a motion to withdraw from her case.  She also attacked her other attorney during the homicide case.

AG Kaul Sues Over Executive Order

Wisconsin’s Attorney General is suing the Trump administration over an executive order.  AG Josh Kaul on Friday joined twenty other states over orders to defund libraries, museums and minority business support services.  The lawsuit claims the actions are unconstitutional because the administration did not obtain congressional authority.  Officials are asking to stop the break up of the agencies.

Sheboygan Flock Tests Positive for Bird Flu

Bird flu has been found in Sheboygan County in a commercial flock.  State agriculture officials said Friday the herd is under quarantine and will not enter into the food system.  Farm workers are being monitored for symptoms but the threat to the public is low.
