The Fire Continues

 A massive chemical plant fire in Illinois could burn up to seven days.  The fire that started Monday morning is located about four miles south of Beloit and about 75 miles southwest from Milwaukee.  Fire crews say there’s still about half-a-million gallons of oil that continues to burn.  Anyone within three miles of the scene should wear a face mask due to poor air quality.  Winds are blowing the smoke southwest, and away from Wisconsin.  There’s no timeline on when the

Fond Du Lac Man Faces Multiple Charges

A Fond du Lac man is being held on multiple charges, including taking a hostage.  Thirty-two-year-old Travis Bruemmer allegedly took a hostage while under a 14-day quarantine at Dodge County Jail.  Bruemmer faces additional felony charges of second-degree reckless endangerment, strangulation and suffocation, battery by prisoner, and substantial battery after reports say he attacked a woman performing a medical exam on him.  On Monday he was placed on a 200-thousand dollar cash bond and could be sentenced to 82-years if

UW Stout Students Look Ahead to College, Campus, Connection

When University of Wisconsin-Stout moved to an alternative learning method in March 2020 because of COVID-19, Erin O’Brien and Nathan Thompson left campus to finish their first years of college at home. Lanes Cleared After HWY 29 Crash

All lanes on Wisconsin Highway-29 are open again after a crash this morning.  All eastbound lanes closed near Spring Valley.  5-1-1 Wisconsin tweeted the crash was clear in about 30 minutes. There isn’t word of any serious injuries.
