Wisconsin’s Republican U.S. Senator says conservatives need to fight to ‘take back’ the culture. Senator Ron Johnson delivered a speech at this weekend’s Republican state convention at the Dells. Johnson said liberals in this country are unhappy and unwilling to accept the progress that this nation has made. He said liberals want to remake this country, while conservatives mostly just want to be left alone.

WI Vaccine Efforts Dip

The latest count of Wisconsin’s coronavirus vaccine effort is the lowest it’s ever been. The state’s Department of Health Services yesterday said doctors and nurses handed-out just under 35-thousand doses last week. That number is sure to go up, but it has a long way to go to reach the 73-thousand doses handed out the week before. Wisconsin’s vaccine numbers have been steadily dropping since April. MKE Schools to Mask

Kids in Milwaukee Public Schools are going to need to keep their masks. The school’s superintendent, Keith Posley, sent a letter to parents late last week saying school will be in-person, five days a week, and students will be required to wear masks. Posley says MPS is also requiring three feet of social distance between students while in the classroom or cafeteria. The Wisconsin Supreme Court is not going to weigh-in on ballot drop boxes and ballot harvesting. The court on Friday dismissed a challenge from a Wisconsin businessman who says Wisconsin election law doesn’t allow for ballot drop boxes or allow other people to collect ballots for voters. The court’s liberal justices and swing justice Brian Hagedorn relied on technical reasons to dismiss the case. They didn’t deal with the merits of the challenge. The top Republicans in Wisconsin say former President Trump is misinformed about the election challenge in the state. The former president over the weekend suggested that Assembly Speaker Robin Vos and Senate Majority Leader Devin LeMahieu didn’t do enough to recount or check the vote totals from last November. Teen Arrested for OWI

An 18 year old has been arrested for OWI. Destiny R Kingfisher, from Hayward, has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Spooner Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense, with one child in the vehicle under the age of 16. WI Co. Declares State of Emergency

A state of emergency is in place in Crawford County after a strong rain storm pounded the area.  The county’s Emergency Management officials say nearly a foot of rainfall was recorded overnight Friday causing flash flooding, fallen trees and roads washed away.  A major concern for emergency officials is that more rain is in the forecast for the next few days.  The Sheriff’s office says as of last night state roads in the county are back open but some county

Demonstrators Rally Against Jets

Demonstrators call for an end to the U.S. Air Force plan to station F-35 jets at Truax Field.  A march and rally happened yesterday afternoon from Madison College to Truax Field.  The Safe Skies Clean Water activists oppose the jets at Truax over noise and chemical pollution concerns.  The plan to make Truax home to F-35s was approved by the Air Force last year and is now underway in the early construction stage.
