Reward Grows to $20K

The reward for information leading to an arrest of an accused killer now stands at 20-thousand-dollars.  The Oneida County Sheriff’s Department is looking for 30-year-old Christopher Anderson who allegedly shot and killed Hannah Miller.  Her body was found near Highway 8 and River Bend Road in late June.  Authorities are trying to raise more money to get a reward large enough to motivate someone to turn Anderson in to police.

UW Takes Reigns on COVID-19

More WI Schools Vote Masks

More and more schools are adding their names to the list of districts mandating mask-wearing.  The Kimberly School Board approved a mask requirement last night for students, staff and visitors beginning September 1st.  Appleton schools also voted yesterday to require face masks effective tomorrow.  Last month in Appleton masks were optional but the surge in COVID cases has changed that mandate.

Crews Respond to Multiple Calls During Severe Weather

The Eau Claire Fire Department (ECFD) responded to an early morning fire on the city’s West side. This incident occurred as a significant weather event was impacting the city, resulting in multiple power lines down and other wind related damage. Attorney General Josh Kaul announced today that Dane County Judge David Conway sentenced Joachim M McKnight to 3 years, 6 months in prison for the assault of a teenage victim that occurred in March 1994.
