A costume believed to be worn by actress Judy Garland has been found at Catholic University in Washington, DC. Employees discovered the dress in a shoebox tucked away in the school’s theatre department as the school was preparing for renovations. Drama department lecturer Matt Ripa said he was the one who discovered the piece of Hollywood history. Officials believe the dress was worn by Garland in The Wizard of Oz. Tomorrow’s council meeting includes a request from City Manager Dave Solberg to spend two-and-a-half-million-dollars to fix the bridge’s cracked foundation. Solberg says it would cost about the same to demolish the bridge. Eau Claire closed the High Bridge last month after crews found the crack.

Neither the Wisconsin Department of Health Services nor the state’s Department of Public Instruction are offering any recommendations for students or teachers. The CDC last week said vaccinated students and teachers don’t have to wear masks. Many local schools across the state have already announced that masks will be optional in the fall. Others, however, have not yet made their decisions.
