The search for a missing elderly woman in Sheboygan has come to a happy ending. Authorities in Sheboygan say Agnes Leubner has been found safe. The Highway Patrol issued a Silver Alert for her yesterday when she didn’t show-up for lunch with her friends. The search included casinos in Green Bay and Menominee. Troopers canceled the alert late last night.

Silhouettes Work to Raise Awareness

This week, Marsy’s Law for Wisconsin and Bolton Refuge House joined together for an event displaying silhouettes in downtown Eau Claire to help raise awareness of crime victims’ rights in Wisconsin. The silhouettes highlight various rights included under Wisconsin’s recently adopted crime victims’ rights constitutional amendment known as Marsy’s Law. More nurses could be seeing more patients across Wisconsin under one of the latest plans at the state Capitol. A Senate panel yesterday listened to hours of testimony on a plan to give advanced practice nurses more freedom and more authority. New EC Marathon Route Off and Running

Eau Claire’s marathon is going to go down the pedestrian trail along the river, as opposed to across it. The city council on Tuesday unanimously approved a new route for this year’s marathon. UW-La Crosse Gives Students a Shot at Scholarships

Students at UW-La Crosse who get their coronavirus shot have a shot at some extra scholarship money. The school yesterday said it is offering more scholarships, along with other prizes, to get more students vaccinated. We’re waiting to see just how many tornadoes came with the overnight storms that cut across southeast Wisconsin. The National Weather Service issued several tornado warnings for the line of storms that swept down from Fond du Lac through Kenosha very early this morning. Judge Opens Door to Possible Charges Against Officer

A Milwaukee County judge has opened the door to possible charges against former Waukesha Police Officer Joseph Mensah. Judge Glenn Yamahiro yesterday ruled there is probable cause to think Mensah committed a crime when he shot and killed Jay Anderson during an officer-involved shooting back in 2016. Mensah was earlier cleared in the shooting. The judge will now appoint a special prosecutor who will make the final decision on charges.
