Mayo Clinic Health System’s Northwest Wisconsin Region will reduce the number of visitors allowed in its hospitals and clinics in Northwest Wisconsin to one designated visitor per patient, beginning at 6 a.m. CDT on Monday, Aug. 23. Read MoreThe Oneida Nation is offering cash to get tribal members vaccinated. The tribe yesterday said it is offering 500-dollar sweeteners to anyone 14 and older who gets a shot. Just under 30-thousand tribal members in the state have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine, which is about 37-percent of Wisconsin’s native population. Oneida’s health director, Debbie Danforth, says people have to get both doses of the vaccine in order to qualify for the 500 dollars. And they aren’t alone.

Food stamp spending jumped 33-percent in the same two years, to well over a billion-dollars.
