The sheriff in Portage County says a Thanksgiving Day wreck left eleven people injured. Deputies say a van rolled-over yesterday morning along Highway 10 near Eau Pleine. There are not a lot of details, but early reports indicated one person was tossed from the van and another had to be cut-out of the wreckage. Investigators are looking to see if ice played a role in the wreck.

Shopping local is not just for Small Business Saturday. Governor Tony Evers used his Thanksgiving Day address to push the idea of Shop Small Wisconsin. The governor says shopping at small and local businesses throughout the holiday season is a great way to boost the economy across the state. The governor is quick to say that small businesses took the brunt of the coronavirus closures, and by shopping there this year you can help them rebound.

More people continue to get their coronavirus booster shot in Wisconsin. The state’s Department of Health Services said, as of Wednesday, 964 thousand people in the state have gotten a third jab. Overall, three-point-four million people have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine. DHS says they are averaging over 20-thousand booster shot doses per-day. CLICK HERE FOR MORE FROM WI DHS.

It is the latest sign of the season. The lights at Chippewa Falls’ Christmas Village are on. Crews flipped the switch yesterday to turn the lights at Irvine Park on. This is the 34th year for the Christmas Village. Folks can drive through the park and see the lights anytime between now and the end of year.

They were running again this Thanksgiving in Chippewa Falls. The second annual Gobble Wobble drew about 250 people for a race or walk. Last year that had about 100 runners. Organizer Lisa Schuetz hosted the Wobble at her tavern in Chippewa Falls. She says the run/walk raised three thousand dollars for the Autumn Community Sunshine Fund. That’s a charity set-up to remember Autumn Helgeson, one of the three Lake Hallie Girls Scouts who died back in 2019.

The Packers are closing-in on the halfway point of its stock sale. The team on Wednesday said it’s sold over 41 million-dollars worth of stock in just eight days. The Packers are looking to sell 90 million-dollars worth of shares. You can still buy-in, at 300 dollars a piece. The sale is scheduled to run until February 25th, or when shares run out.

Kalahari Resorts made a splash during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with their float. Kalahari’s float featured elephants and rhinos one water slides. One of the elephants shot glitter from its trunk. The crowd seemed to love the float. Kalahari had plenty of fun with the float, and that glitter, on Twitter yesterday.

Chippewa Falls’ other Thanksgiving tradition is ready to go. Organizers say they are ready to flip the switch and turn on the lights at the Christmas Village. The village in Irvine Park opens this evening at 5 p.m. Visits are limited to just an hour-and-a-half today, but starting tomorrow cars can drive through each night until 9:30.

It’s going to be a happier Thanksgiving for three families in Waukesha. Doctors at Children’s Wisconsin say three kids left the hospital yesterday. But doctors say ten more remain. Among them are five kids who are still in critical condition. Originally 16 kids were rushed to Children’s after police say Darrell Brooks drove through the parade.
