The Badgers extend their winning streak to three with a 20-point win at Northwestern. Wisconsin held the Wildcats to nine first downs and just over 200 total yards offense in a 23-to-3 win on Saturday. The Badgers have allowed only a touchdown and three field goals in their last three games, outscoring their opponents 117-to-16. Republican Vice Presidential nominee JD Vance will be in Wisconsin again this weekend. President Donald Trump’s campaign says the Ohio Senator will speak at the Waukesha County Airport on Sunday.  A news release from the campaign suggests Vance could speak about the Catholics for Trump coalition.  Sunday will be Vance’s sixth time vising Wisconsin since becoming Trump’s running mate. Jolly Good Soda Takes the Top Spot!

Jolly Good Soda is officially the winner of the 2024 Coolest Thing Made In Wisconsin contest. The soda is made by Krier Foods in Random Lake, about 40 miles north of Milwaukee. The public has been voting from 16 original products in a bracket-style contest since mid-September.  Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce says about 150-thousand votes were cast in the final round to decide the winner.

WI Homeowners Pay Up

Madison has the lowest mortgage delinquency rate out of 100 U.S. cities. A report by WalletHub compared the cities based on rates from this year’s first and second quarters. Madison had the lowest delinquency rate at just more than two-percent, with Honolulu and Seattle right behind it.  Laredo Texas is ranked first for the highest delinquency rate at 23-percent.

Man Sentenced in Eau Claire Murder

The first of four men to be sentenced for a 2022 murder in Eau Claire will spend less than two years behind bars. A judge yesterday sentenced 29-year-old Kemone Golden to 22 months in prison. Golden pleaded no contest to murder charges back in July. Police say he’s the one who shot and killed Christopher Conner back in September of 2022. Charges Upgraded in Case of Elijah Vue

Elijah Vue’s mother and her boyfriend are now being charged with his death. Prosecutors in Manitowoc County yesterday upgraded the charges against both Katrina Bauer and Jesse Vang. Vang is charged with physical abuse of a child, repeated acts causing death, concealing a corpse, and obstructing an officer.
